Research and Study Leave Travel and Relocation Fund
While AU continues to work remotely and maintains restrictions for in-person activities in response to COVID-19, we understand that there may be critical business needs for some place-based and in-person work arrangements. Please refer to "What is the protocol around business-related travel, in-person meetings, and working in person?" for the process of approvals for:
- In-person business and travel within Canada (domestic) (fill out the AU Business and Travel Checklist-Domestic) and
- In-person business and travel beyond Canada (international) (fill out the COVID-19 Face-to-Face Business/Activity Request Form).
The Research and Study Leave Travel and Relocation Fund helps offset travel and relocation expenses incurred as a result of an Athabasca University Faculty Association academic or professional staff member’s approved Research and Study Leave.
Eligible expenses
Eligible expenses under the Research and Study Leave Travel and Relocation Fund include:
- Travel costs for activities that are integral to the Research and Study Leave.
- Freight and cartage on household effects (if relocating).
Awards
Awards are up to $2,500 (CDN)
Recipients of Research and Study Leave Travel and Relocation Fund Grants should acknowledge the funding in related publications and presentations.
