Degree programs

Undergraduate degrees normally take three to five years to complete. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree are called undergraduate students. Click here to see Athabasca University's wide selection of Undergraduate degrees.

Certificate of completion

Athabasca University offers a Certificate of Completion for the English Language Proficiency Program. This is not an undergraduate program and is intended to help prepare students, particularly those who are not native English speakers.

University certificates

University certificates provide interim qualifications in a specific subject area.  Certificates are designed for students without prior undergraduate or graduate degrees in that area.

University diploma

The University Diploma is designed for students who wish to obtain an intermediate credential that provides a grounding in the skills required of university studies.  It is also the foundation for further studies. Click here to see more information on the University Diploma in Arts.
