The Bachelor of Science, General (BSc) is a 120-credit online degree program. You must complete at least 30 credits through Athabasca University. If you already hold a computing or science-related diploma from an accredited college or technical institute, you may receive a minimum block of 30 credits. Depending on the content of the diploma, up to a maximum of 60 credits may be transferred towards the Bachelor of Science post-diploma route.
Most courses are completed through online individual study, allowing you to complete the coursework at home at your own pace. Some courses have labs that may require on-site attendance.
You can finish this program in as little as 2 years (post-diploma route) or 4 years (regular route) of full-time study. Alternatively, you can work at your own pace and take as long as you need. There is no time limit for completing the degree: as long as you take at least one course a year your student account will remain active.
