Karie Chambers

Since joining Athabasca University (AU) in 2008, Karie has served as a Program Advisor and then a Program Officer within the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST). Over the course of her career, she has contributed to the coordination, development, and administration of academic programs, supporting both faculty and students to ensure program quality and effective delivery. Her long-standing commitment to FST has allowed her to develop strong institutional knowledge and collaborative relationships across the university. She holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from the University of Alberta, which informs her approach to program support, student engagement, and continuous improvement in higher education.

When Karie's not working you can find her with her two cats Lester and Max, reading a book or on her motorcycle (weather permitting) taking trips to see the beautiful Canadian scenery.
