Dianna is one of our Academic Program Advisors in the Faculty of Science and Technology. She provides thoughtful, knowledgeable guidance to Science students as they choose their courses, ensures their selections meet program requirements, and helps them navigate the rules, policies, and regulations of their programs. Dianna is deeply committed to helping students meet their academic and educational goals and supporting them as they move forward in their learning journeys. Known for her kindness, patience, and attentive listening, she is dedicated to guiding students throughout their AU experience.

Since joining Athabasca University in 2007, Dianna has held several roles and brings a wealth of experience in student support. As someone who has taken AU courses herself, she understands firsthand the challenges students face while balancing work, family, studies, and other commitments. She hopes to one day complete her own AU degree and has deep admiration for students who persevere in pursuit of their educational goals.

A long-time resident of Athabasca County and Dianna loves to travel to warm places, some of her favourites are: Japan, Florida, Hawaii, California, and Mexico. She has been active in many community sports—including baseball, curling, and coaching figure and power skating. Her favourite winter pastime, however, is tobogganing with her kids. Dianna enjoys baking (though she’s not a fan of doing the dishes!) and loves unwinding with a good book in her spare time.
