Overview
After completion of the project implementation (COMP 698), MSc CIS students taking the project-based route need to write the final report for their integration project. The project shall be in an area directly related to CIS and must have a research component.
The integration project should provide a useful demonstration of a novel capability using existing technology or explore a novel implementation technique. The project should be articulated around a well-defined research problem or hypothesis.
Outline
After completing COMP 698, students taking the project route should have completed the implementation of the proposed solution to their research question and problem to be solved.
The purpose of the project report writing stage (COMP 699) is to produce a final project report that satisfies the requirements of the program and the university and to ensure that the project objectives have been achieved. This phase may also include the finalization of the project findings by completing the data analysis and results interpretation.
While writing the project report, the student should brief the project supervisory committee and other participants about the findings, hypothesis verification, conclusions, and recommendations drawn from the project results. The student should seek final feedback from all involved parties before submitting the final project.
The student should produce the project report in accordance with the Project Report Style Guide and Template.
