Computer Science (COMP) 679

Overview

After approval of the thesis proposal (COMP 676), students will continue to work on their research according to the plan approved in their research proposal. The purpose of these stages is to complete the implementation of the proposed solution, complete data analysis, and produce the final thesis report. The produced thesis must represent the results of the student’s independent research working with a supervisory committee.

Outline

After completing COMP 678, the solution implementation and/or data analysis should be completed.

The purpose of this stage is to evaluate the implemented solution and draw any conclusions from the findings. Upon completion of COMP 679, the solution evaluation and results interpretation should be completed.

Evaluation

To receive credit for the integration thesis, the student must obtain a PASS grade for each of the required courses.

Materials

The course materials is available in electronic format and include a Thesis Handbook that provides guidelines and explains the thesis stages.

Special Course Features

A thesis update presentation or intermediate report is delivered to the supervisory committee at the end of COMP 679.
