Master of Science - Earth System Science - Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Master of Science - Earth System Science program, graduates should be able to:
- Assess interrelationships between the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, geosphere and biosphere.
- Analyze past, present, and future conditions of Earth as a holistic system, including the influence of human activities.
- Apply interdisciplinary knowledge and methods to address local, regional, and global environmental problems in a range of sectors, including biodiversity, sustainability microbiology, atmospheric processes, policy, agriculture, and health.
- Employ scientific numeracy and quantitative approaches, including the use of digital datasets, in seeking solutions to Earth system issues.
- Communicate effectively to various audiences about Earth system issues.
- Demonstrate professional skills in data collection, data analysis, data management, information processing, digital literacy, and communication of scientific research results.
- Adopt ethical and environmentally responsible professional practices.
