Non-program application processes
Students who wish to take a few courses to begin a career in computing and information systems or are simply interested in a specialized topic may register as a non-program student.
Non-program students must be in their final year of a Bachelor of Science, Computing and Information Systems Major program or hold a baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary education institution. For more detailed information on admission requirements for non program students, refer to the graduate Admission requirements in the Calendar.
Note: If you are currently a Bachelor of Science undergraduate student with Athabasca University, please contact the Program Advisors in the School of Computing and Information Systems for details on graduate level course registrations.
Non-program application deadlines
The following deadlines apply to non-program applications:
- July 31 for Fall session courses (September to December)
- Nov. 30 for Winter session courses (January to April)
- March 31 for Spring session courses (May to August)
How to apply as a non-program student
- Create an account as a new user or sign in if a returning user and select Non Program - School of Computing and Information Systems.
- Complete all components of the application by the deadline and pay the application fee.
