Indigenous students can access valuable funding opportunities through scholarships and bursaries from Athabasca University

Athabasca University (AU) is committed to accessibility and inclusivity and is proud to offer a wide range of awards and bursaries designed to support and uplift Indigenous students.  
 
These awards are designed to help Indigenous students overcome financial and technological barriers and empower individuals to reach their educational and professional goals.

AU First Nation Colleges Student Awards 

Annual application deadlines: July 1 and Nov. 1

AU Indigenous Welcome Bursary

Open application deadline. 

Indigenous Graduate Entrance Bursary

Open application deadline. 

Indigenous Technology Bursary

Annual application deadlines: Feb. 15, May 15,
and Aug. 15.
 

Indigenous Undergraduate Entrance Bursary

AUSU Indigenous Student Award 

Annual application deadline: Jan. 15. 

Carter Yellowbird Indigenous Bursary

Harold Cardinal Essay Prize for Aboriginal Students
