Program details

The Bachelor of Environmental Studies (BES) is a 120-credit online degree program designed for flexible, self-paced learning. You can start any month, study from anywhere, and complete coursework on your schedule. Up to 90 transfer credits may be accepted, and students may also earn credit for relevant work experience through prior learning assessment.

This interdisciplinary program blends ecological systems, environmental governance, Indigenous and alternative ways of knowing, social innovation, and applied learning. You will build a personalized learning pathway and finish with a final capstone paper or project.

The BES prepares you for meaningful roles in government, non-profit organizations, education, community development, conservation, and sustainability. With applied learning opportunities, peer-to-peer symposiums, and a strong liberal-arts foundation, you will develop both the analytical and practical skills needed to help build a more sustainable and resilient future.
