Schedule of counselling courses
GCAP courses are offered on a paced schedule with fixed start and end dates. The courses scheduled to be offered in each semester are listed below. As you plan your program, please be mindful of the following:
- GCAP 631, 632, 633, 634, 635, and 671 are prerequisites for your practicum placement and GCAP 681. Therefore, all of these courses must be completed no later than the Spring term immediately before the Fall start of your practicum.
- The Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Master of Counselling programs are outcome-based, with competencies that build progressively in a planned sequence of courses. Many courses have prerequisites. Therefore, you should review the course syllabi to ensure that you have the required prerequisites.
- You must register for courses three months before the start of the term (Fall Term: June 1; Winter Term: October 1; Spring/Summer: February 1). If you miss one of these deadlines, you may be added to a course at the discretion of the Program Director no earlier than the first day of the following month. This will permit us to make decisions about instructor contracts, course materials, and course cancellations in the event of low enrollment.
