Krista King is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who currently serves as an Academic Coordinator in the Nurse Practitioner program at Athabasca University. Krista is pursuing a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University. Her doctoral research focuses on improving survivorship outcomes for individuals affected by cancer. Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing cancer care through rigorous, evidence-based research.

Krista brings extensive teaching experience to her academic role. She is deeply passionate about nursing education and is committed to fostering excellence in advanced practice nursing. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in a strengths-based approach that values and builds upon the diverse experiences, skills, and professional insights that learners contribute to the educational environment. Krista integrates clinical expertise with scholarly inquiry to prepare nurse practitioners who are compassionate, reflective, and emerging leaders in healthcare.
