Graduation portraits

GradPhotos.ca is the official photographer for Athabasca University and will be available onsite during Convocation for graduation portraits. Book a convocation-day photo session to capture this milestone.

You can also book an appointment year-round at their studio in Edmonton, Alta., where graduates can be photographed in the official AU cap, gown, and hood for their degree.

Prefer a local option? Many professional photography studios offer graduation portrait sessions and will have a standard black graduation gown and cap available. Convocation hoods are available for purchase.

AU class rings

Commemorate your accomplishment with an AU grad ring from Jostens. Crafted with precision and available in a variety of styles and metals, these rings are designed to reflect your personal taste while honouring your academic achievements.

All ring designs will be on display at Convocation 2026, and a Jostens representative will be onsite to size your finger, answer questions, and assist with ordering your AU ring.

Grad flowers and gifts

Pre-order graduation flowers and gifts from Athabasca-based florist Woodland + Wildflower Weddings, including AU 2026 bouquets and graduation bears. Orders can be placed in advance and picked up on convocation day. A limited number will be available for purchase on the day of convocation.
