Myrna Kostash is a fulltime writer based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, author of the classic All of Baba’s Children. Some of her other books are Bloodlines: A Journey into Eastern Europe, The Frog lake Reader, Prodigal Daughter: A Journey to Byzantium and The Seven Oaks Reader. Her most recent book (2022) is Ghosts in a Photograph: A Chronicle. Her journalism, essays, and creative nonfiction have been widely anthologized. She is a recipient of the Writers’ Guild of Alberta’s Golden Pen Award and the Writers’ Trust of Canada Matt Cohen award for a Life of Writing. She blogs at myrnakostash.com about life in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
