Overview

ANTH 362 is divided into ten units covering aboriginal languages, prehistory, First Nations societies in different regions of the country, and issues facing First Nations communities today.

The course consists of the following ten units.

Unit 1: Anthropologists and Images

Unit 2: First Peoples

Unit 3: The Arctic

Unit 4: Eastern Subarctic

Unit 5: Western Subarctic

Unit 6: Eastern Woodlands

Unit 7: Plains

Unit 8: Plateau

Unit 9: Northwest Coast

Unit 10: Legacies and Prospects

Evaluation

To receive credit for ANTH 362, you must achieve a course composite grade of at least a “D” (50 percent) and a grade of at least 60 percent on each of the examinations. The weighting of the composite grade is as follows:
