Dr Tony Simmons Memorial Award for Marginalized Students

Named in memory of AU Professor, Dr Tony Simmons, who firmly believed that education should be accessible to everyone. Tony was dedicated to supporting students in secure environments and those from marginalized communities. The Dr Tony Simmons Memorial Award for Marginalized Students will be awarded annually to two AU undergraduate students enrolled in any FHSS undergraduate degree program.

The personal information that you provide on this form is collected under Section 33(c) of Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP Act). It will be used to administer Athabasca University’s fundraising and donations program, including issuing tax receipts and providing proper acknowledgement of your donation, as applicable. It may also be used to advise you of other University programs and services that may be of interest to you.
