Overview

Administration 232 is the three-credit required course in the Bachelor of Administration and Bachelor of Commerce programs offered at Athabasca University. It is equivalent to a one-semester course at a conventional university.

Administration 232 translates administrative theory into effective administrative practice by examining what administrators do and how they do it. The course presents theories of administration applicable to the public and private sectors and then reconciles these theories with current practice, focusing primarily on the student's experience.

Evaluation

To receive credit for Administration 232, students must achieve a composite course mark of at least 50 per cent and a mark of at least 50 per cent on each of the examinations. The weighting of the composite mark is as follows:
