Ms. Kelly Miller, Undergraduate Student Member

Ms. Kelly Miller is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Science program at Athabasca University and serves as Council Chair of the Athabasca University Students’ Union (AUSU). In this role, she supports student representation, organizational governance, and the development of sustainable systems and processes that strengthen accountability, transparency, and continuity.

She brings professional experience across municipal government, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, public engagement, and crisis-response environments. Her work has included project and program coordination, operational systems, policy and process development, data and records management, case management, and community-focused initiatives. She has contributed to public engagement work with the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Police Service and has supported individuals and organizations navigating complex systems and periods of change.

Ms. Miller brings a strong interest in governance, institutional systems, accessible education, and the student experience. As an online learner balancing education with professional, leadership, and family responsibilities, she values the diverse pathways students take through post-secondary education and is committed to strengthening systems that are responsive, accountable, and accessible to the communities they serve.
