Sociology (SOCI) 348

Overview

Sociology 348: Sociology of Environment and Health is a three-credit, intermediate-level course that explores the relationship between the impacts of industrial activity on the environments in which people live and work and the health of those exposed to these impacts. It also examines movements pushing for justice for migrant farm workers and preventing violence against health care workers.

Evaluation

Your grade in SOCI 348 is based on the grades you achieve on three tutor-marked assignments and a final examination. To receive credit for SOCI 348, you must achieve a grade of D (50 percent) on the final examination, and a minimum overall course grade of D (50 percent). The weighting of the composite grade is as follows:

The final examination for this course must be taken online with an AU-approved exam invigilator at an approved invigilation centre.
