Psychology (PSYC) 345

Overview

Psychology 345: The Psychology of Women examines several topics in psychology that are of specific relevance to women, and are about women. The course discusses scientific findings and sexist myths about male and female differences, and looks at a variety of gender issues from a feminist perspective.

Evaluation

To receive credit for PSYC 345, you must complete all six (6) assignments; two "notecard" exercises; two assignments related to your research proposal; and two take-home review exercises.

The weightings for each activity are as follows:

Your final grade will be determined by a weighted average of the grades you received on the assignments. To receive credit for this course, you must also achieve a minimum overall grade of "D" (50 per cent) or better for the entire course. Challenge Evaluation

To receive credit for the PSYC 345 challenge registration, you must achieve a grade of at least “D” (50 percent) or greater on the research essay to be eligible to write the challenge examination. A cumulative average of 50 per cent on both activities is required. Credit is awarded on a pass/fail basis only.
