Overview
This course introduces learners to the concepts and elements of process design, control, and improvement. It also looks at redesign and creative design processes, and examines change leadership and the impact of organizational change on individual employees. As part of process design, learners will examine the analytical and visual tools necessary to achieve effective process design and improvement. Continuous improvement methodologies are introduced to ensure that any remaining that non-conformities are addressed and further improvements are implemented.

Through this course, learners will be able to:
- define process design, control, and improvement, and explain why effective process design is integral to organizational success.
- compare the advantages of process design versus redesign, and describe the importance of leadership in implementing change processes in the workplace.
- describe the creative design process, and identify some of the analytical and visual tools used to achieve effective process design.
- discuss the implementation, control, and monitoring of process design improvements.
- apply continuous improvement methodologies to address non-conformances.
Evaluation
Students will be evaluated based on their participation in weekly online discussions (60%) and one comprehensive assignment (40%). To pass the course, students must achieve 60% or more on each of the credit activities.
This four-week course is worth 1 credit of graduate-level study.
