Educational Psychology (EDPY) 200

Overview

Educational Psychology 200 is primarily designed for pre-service teachers. However, it is also designed to be useful to newer teachers and to students in professional programs in counselling and psychology. This course seeks to provide a balanced view of educational psychology that blends theory and research about human learning and development and the implications for instructional methods and teacher behaviour.

Evaluation

To receive credit for EDPY 200, you must achieve a course composite grade of at least a “D” (50 per cent). You must achieve a minimum grade of 50 per cent on the reflective summary paper and the final exam to pass the course. The weighting of the composite grade is as follows:

Challenge Evaluation

To receive credit for the EDPY 200 challenge registration, you must obtain a grade of at least “D” (50 per cent) on the assignment and 50 per cent on the exam.
