Homewood Health
Homewood Health offers a comprehensive wellness support program to meet your mental health and wellness needs. If you are struggling and need support, you can call Homewood Health’s 24/7 support line. There are many service options available, including counselling, coaching, and various web-based resources that you can access from your phone, tablet, or desktop. Counselling services are provided by certified mental health professionals with master’s level training or higher and are available in over 150 languages. These services are free as part of your wellness support program.

If you are not looking to speak with a professional counsellor but would like to access various web-based tools and resources to support your mental health and wellness, register for Homewood Health’s online services by following the steps outlined at the bottom of this page.
You will find a wide variety of options, including coaching services from subject matter experts. Coaching services address the following issues:
- childcare and parenting
- elder and family care
- grief and loss
- financial or legal concerns (you can speak with a financial adviser or lawyer)
- relationship challenges
- career planning
- workplace issues
- a variety of health topics
Homewood also offers an online health wellness library, self-assessment tools, e-courses on mental-health-related topics, online cognitive behavioural therapy, and much more!

How to access online services
- Visit homeweb.ca and click ‘Sign Up.’
- Enter information into the required fields, choose an email and password, and click ‘Next Step.’ Then, type in Athabasca University and click ‘Find it!’ and select from the list provided.
- Use the dropdown menu to indicate you are an AU student. Click ‘Sign In’ at the bottom of the page.
Students who have an open case with Student Lifeline can continue to access the service with Student Lifeline while their case is open.
