Executive functioning skills are critical to pre-writing as these mental processes help with organization and getting tasks done. However, a person with ADHD or executive function challenges may find these skills difficult and exhausting: task initiation (getting started), time management, prioritizing, organizing, working memory, impulse control, and flexible thinking.
Let’s Get Writing! is a 60-minute Q&A session with writing expert Cara Violini from the Write Site to help strengthen executive functioning skills and kickstart the writing process.
All AU students are welcome and invited to attend multiple sessions. As students can include a question on their registration form, the information provided is tailored to the questions asked each month.
