June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada dedicated to honour the vibrant and diverse histories and cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Additionally, June 21 is the National Indigenous Peoples Day. To mark this important time, we are pleased to invite you to a series of events to celebrate Indigenous scholarship, research, and contributions at AU and beyond. Co-organized by AUGSA and FGS, in collaboration with Wîcihitowin Indigenous Student Alliance (WISA) and Nukskahtowin, this series of events will feature Indigenous Elders, scholars, community members, and students sharing their research, vision and accomplishments through conversations and presentations in the first four Mondays of June.

Indigenous voices and knowledge systems

This session will feature Indigenous scholars from AU and beyond, who are working with Indigenous knowledge systems and expanding the boundaries of how we define scholarship and community impact, and why it matters for everyone.
