Convocation 2026

Convocation is a special time for all of us at AU—a time to come together and celebrate the achievements of our graduates.

Athabasca University’s Convocation 2026 will take place in our home community of Athabasca, Alberta. Convocation ceremonies will be held at the Athabasca Regional Multiplex, followed by celebrations and activities on the Athabasca University campus.

April 30, 2026 is the deadline to apply to graduate and be eligible to participate in this year’s convocation ceremony. All final grades must be received by the Office of the Registrar, and all program requirements must be completed by this date.

Attending convocation is optional for our graduates—applying to graduate does not automatically register you to attend. To have your name and credential announced during the presentation of degrees, you must register to attend.

Registration is open and will close at midnight on May 31, 2026. Late registrations cannot be accommodated due to ceremony planning and production timelines.
