Why did you choose AU?

I chose AU because the MBA program is designed specifically for working professionals, and it allowed me the time I needed to spend with my family, but with the flexibility to study and work at the same time. Being a new father meant I didn’t have to sacrifice what meant the most to me to achieve my goal.

Tell us about the people who have supported you throughout your journey at AU?

My wife has been an incredible support for me throughout my AU journey. The flexibility and ability to adapt to studying late and over weekends made us have to rethink plans or change our schedules, however at the end, she knew that it was an incredible accomplishment and important to both me and our family.

What is your favourite memory from your time at AU?

Our in-residence course for RVET 651: Visionary and Entrepreneurial Thinking. The ability to have more personable interactions with some of our classmates was incredible. I am happy to have made such great connections with great people.

It opens the doors to a career direction that I never thought would be possible. Having an MBA and going through online learning modules has forced me to be agile and adapt to change quickly while gaining the insights needed to excel within my career.

Tell us about a time that the flexibility of AU helped you overcome a challenge.

At a time that was challenging, becoming a new father with a lot of sleepless nights from both studying and my son, having the ability to work on my studies any time of day was life changing. Without that flexibility, it would have been extremely challenging to manage my time and hard to commit to actually completing my program.

My personal journey landed me here, at AU, but it certainly doesn’t stop now. My future is…

The sky is the limit! I have floated the idea of continuing my life-long learning path and may consider applying for the DBA. From a career standpoint, I will become a senior-level leader at some point, or continue to grow as an entrepreneur or business consultant.
