Looking for scholarly resources? The AU library can help!

Look no further than the Athabasca University Library!

Message from Library & Scholarly Resources

Library & Scholarly Resources recognizes that this is a stressful time for our learners and the broader AU community. We want to assure you that the library’s website and online resources will continue to be available to you as always, and that if you need help, or have questions, you will still be able to reach us.

While the library team are being encouraged to work from home as per the recommendations of the government and public health agencies, we are still here to support you as you work on your courses.

Aren’t sure how to contact the Library?

You can reach the Library Information Desk by email at library@athabascau.ca, use one of our web forms to send us a message, or use chat from the library homepage.

The Library Information Desk will continue to be open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (MT) Monday to Friday. The library’s chat hours are currently 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (MT) Tuesday to Thursday.

We will continue to mail materials from the library collection to the AU community at this time but please note that this is subject to change.

Borrowed materials

If you have borrowed materials from the library and are wondering about returning them to us, please hold on to them until regular operations resume.

If you need to renew your items you can do so by contacting the Library Information Desk by email: library@athabascau.ca or by logging into your account. We will not be invoicing learners or staff for overdue materials at this time.

Library resources for alumni.

Free resources!

We are here to support you. We know that some learners and staff have children at home because of school closures, and that stress levels are higher than normal.

To help, we have created a guide with some resources, including digital colouring books, music and video sources, and useful news sites. We will be adding to this collection, so keep checking back for more resources!
