Ancestral Maya Mortuary Practices in Belize
Overview
This is a Research Assistant (Level 2) position to assist the PI and co-PI with an integrative literature review focused on Ancestral Maya mortuary practices in Belize.
Specific activities include, but are not limited to
- Learn how to conduct an integrative literature review (if unfamiliar)
- Assist (virtually) the research team in planning the integrative literature review
- Co-conduct (virtually) assigned portions of the integrative literature review
- Co-author a final report on the literature review
- Assist in mentoring a college student researcher who is part of the research team.
Qualifications
- BA in Anthropology
- Previous archaeology experience (field or lab-based)
- Previous literature review experience
- Familiarity with Zotero
- Interest in Maya mortuary archaeology
