I am a teacher and writer focussed on political economy (Canada and international), social movements (with a special focus on labour), and 20th century politics and history of Russia. I have been teaching at Athabasca University since 2007, since 2010 in the MA-IS program (Master of Arts - Interdisciplinary Studies), coordinating the "Work, Organization and Leadership" focus area. Prior to that I spent two excellent years teaching in the Department of International Development Studies at Trent University, and four years in the Department of Politics / School of Public Administration at Ryerson. My Ph.D. is in Political Studies from Queen's University, my M.A. in Political Science from York University.
