Jo-Anne has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in psychology and neurosciences, and abundant experience helping with neurobehavioural research. She has co-authored several academic research journal articles and is mentioned in the acknowledgements of some research journal articles for her research assistance and data analyzing contributions. In addition to being an Athabasca University psychology course tutor and acting academic coordinator, she has been a subject matter expert for some Athabasca University psychology course revisions and has taught in person at some other postsecondary institutes in Alberta -- for example, at the University of Lethbridge, teaching introductory psychology and research methods and statistics courses and labs. Since receiving her degrees, Jo-Anne has completed assorted courses in other areas of interest to her ranging from computer science and accounting to theology and hospital chaplaincy. Jo-Anne is a believer in life-long learning and in liberal education, and in her leisure time enjoys swimming, walking, hiking, spending time in nature, and visiting with family and friends.
