Dawn Wambold is a proud citizen of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government within Alberta, a PhD candidate, and a Killam Laureate. Her current SSHRC funded PhD research uses archaeology to help understand the connections between the Métis and the landscapes and people of Southern Alberta during the 1800s.
As a former Athabasca University student herself, Dawn has an intimate understanding of the challenges and opportunities that distance learning presents to students. She particularly relates to students who work full time and balance family responsibilities with their coursework.
