I have been a Tutor in PSYC 375 (The History of Psychology) at Athabasca University since 2007. I enjoy working for a University that values open learning and innovative course delivery. Research-wise, I work mainly in the area of philosophy of mind at the interface of cognitive psychology. In my Ph.D. dissertation I developed a cognitive theory of empathy. I continue to be interested in the topics of mental state ascription, mental representation, and critical thinking. I am also Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria.
PSYC 375/ The History of Psychology is a fascinating course! I am available to answer your questions as you complete each section of the course, step by step. Contemporary Psychology is the science of the mind, brain, and behaviour. The course will provide you with a deep understanding of the way in which Psychology developed into a Social Science. PSYC 375 will give you an appreciation of the diversity of the discipline of Psychology in its present form.
