I am a faculty member in the Faculty of Health Disciplines and a Registered Nurse. I’ve been teaching at the university in the area of family nursing and community health for many years. My direct clinical practice was in acute care (pulmonary and post-up thoracic surgery), primary care, community health, and home care with families of all ages. I've held administrative positions as clinical lead, program director, and director within different institutions. My research areas are in frailty and aging, health services research, patient engagement, and more recently film and media arts. I work with colleagues across institutions on grant funded projects and have co-authored publications in those research areas. I was recently recognized as a recipient of the Edify Edmonton's Top 40 Under 40 Class '21 because of my achievements - read my story here. I'm a mum of two beautiful boys and we live in a multi-generational and intercultural home and life is full!
