Dr. Barbara Wilson-Keates holds a PhD and BScN from the University of Toronto and a MN from Georgia State University. She is an academic coordinator with Athabasca University. Dr. Wilson-Keates is co-lead of the Simulation Education Group for the Canadian Association Schools of Nursing and Vice-President International Affairs for International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). Her research focuses on simulation pedagogy and other educational technologies for clinical and student nurses, faculty, and interprofessional healthcare teams. With over 30 years of nursing experience, she is a known consultant for national and international healthcare organizations, clinicians, and educators on simulation faculty development, scenario writing, and debriefing. Dr. Wilson-Keates is committed to develop partnerships in simulation research among healthcare faculty across the province, across the country, and across the globe.
