Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act

Public sector bodies are now required to post online the names and compensation paid to:

  • all board members
  • employees who earn over $127,765 in 2017
  • employees who earn over $129,809 in 2018
  • employees who earn over $132,924 in 2019
  • employees who earn over $135,317 in 2020
  • employees who earn over $136,805 in 2021
  • employees who earn over $141,183 in 2022

This is a requirement under the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act, which applies to:

  • agencies, boards and commissions governed by the Alberta Public Agencies Governance Act
  • independent offices of the Legislature
  • employees of Covenant Health
  • other entities identified in the regulations

The first posting is required by June 30, 2016.
