Can I enroll regardless of my educational history?

Admission to Athabasca University and registration in courses (except where a prerequisite is needed) is not based on prior academic achievement. The only admission requirement is that a student must be 16 years of age or older, unless an applicant has been specifically exempt from the age requirement.

Some undergraduate and graduate level programs have specific educational requirements before students can enrol in the program. Before applying to a specific program, visit our Program pages for detailed program admission requirements.
