Overview
This project aims to understand the motivations and contributions of business representatives as directors of not-for-profits focused on sustainability issues. We have already conducted the collection of quantitative data through a survey and at this stage we are conducting interviews in Spanish with some board members. These interviews need to be qualitatively analysed.
The work to be conducted by the selected RA (RA 2) involves reviewing transcriptions, analysing data using a qualitative content analysis software, and reporting findings. Meetings will be arranged to discuss details and appropriate support will be provided by the research team.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Eric Wang and Dr. Eduardo Ordonez-Ponce at Athabasca University.
Qualifications, knowledge and skills
- Spanish reading skills
- Experience with qualitative content analysis
- Good management of appropriate software
- Excellent data management and communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to work independently, and comply with deadlines and schedules
The RA position will last until the end of October 2022, with a total of about 80 hours.
The position can be based anywhere in Canada.
