Application Process

The application procedure typically includes a number of components. This is a general guide only, and you should follow the specific procedures for the program for which you are applying.

  1. Request approval to start an application (if required)
  2. Fill out the general AU Graduate Application Form
  3. Complete a program-specific application form (available either as part of the application or on the program website).
  4. If necessary, arrange for official transcripts to be sent directly from post-secondary institutions you have previously attended.
  5. Gather and complete other materials required by the Centre you are applying to. Types of information that may be requested include a résumé, biography, questionnaires, or letters of reference.

Once you are enrolled as an AU graduate student, follow these steps to register for courses:

  1. Review the requirements of your academic program and choose your courses. If you need help in deciding which courses to choose, contact the Centre to inquire about academic advising.
  2. Log in to myAU using your student ID number and click on Register for a Course. Register for the courses you've chosen.
  3. Pay your course fees.

You’ll receive confirmation of your course registration within two weeks.
