Mission Statement
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for many of AU's student services. Each service is briefly described below. Use the menu to the left for more information.

Academic Records
In the Academic Records unit, we maintain official records, record your final grades, handle your transcript requests, and issue Student Identification Cards.
Admissions
In Admissions, we enrol you into your programs, handle incoming transcripts, and manage changes in your student status or program.
Challenge For Credit
This option allows you to challenge a course based on your previous work, life, or community service experience.
Examination Services
In Examination Services, we distribute, supervise, and collect your exams, and maintain the exam invigilation network.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid Advisors assist you with all aspects of the financial aid application process from applying for funding to registering in courses with Athabasca University.
Graduation Information
We process your application to graduate and ensure you have met all of your degree requirements.
Registrations
The Registration unit assigns your student identification number, manages course registrations, withdrawals, and extension requests and processes changes in delivery mode and credit/audit status.
Student Awards
In Student Awards, we provide you with information about student awards, bursaries and scholarships.
Transfer Credit Evaluations
In Evaluation Services, we process your requests to transfer credit received at other institutions to your AU program.
