We offer our undergraduate and graduate courses and programs online and at a distance. Work at your own pace with support from an academic tutor, student services staff, and an array of online and printed learning resources.

AU is a great way to pursue professional development while you work. You can keep your day job and take one course at a time, or become a full-time student.

AU offers over 900 courses, and 50 undergraduate and graduate degree, diploma and certificate programs in a range of arts, science and professional disciplines.

Start planning your AU education

Undergraduate admission is offered year-round, and most courses start monthly.

Apply today -  once admitted you can register for courses immediately. Our individualized study courses generally start on the first day of every month. Register for a course by the 10th of the month, and you can start as early as the first day of the next.

Become a student

Admission deadlines for graduate programs and start dates for courses vary. Some programs offer rolling admission with monthly start dates, while others have scheduled intakes. Explore our master's, doctorate, and graduate diploma programs to learn more.
