Dr. Bob Barnetson is an Assistant Professor of Labour Relations in the Centre for Work and Community Studies.

Bob is currently coordinating HRMT 386, IDRL 308 and HRMT 323.

Bob's research interests include the regulation of labour relations by the state, including employment standards, labour relations, workers' compensation and occupational health and safety. Most recently, Bob has been examining child labour, farm worker rights and the political economy of workers' compensation.

Prior to coming to Athabasca, Bob worked for a trade union, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Alberta Workers' Compensation Board, and the Government of Alberta.
