Welcome to my Web page!
Athabasca University first caught my attention in 1982 when I was living
in Ottawa and looking for a way to build an administration degree onto
the Bachelor of Arts degrees that I had earned from Carleton University.
I wasn't interested in leaving my employment in Ottawa and AU's distance
education programs provided the opportunities I wanted. I am now pleased
to be a graduate and alumnus of Athabasca University.
In the fall of 1986, I left my employment at Carleton University and
took up a new position in the Office of the Registrar at Athabasca
University. As Registry Officer, I was responsible for policy
development, the negotiation of transfer credit agreements with the
other colleges and universities, updating the University Calendar and
the approval of our graduands.
At this time, I am working in the university's Computer Services
department. I am enjoying this change and the challenges that it is
bringing with it.
My current (or should I say continuous) studies include a Master of Arts
in Religion program from Liberty University (again a distance education
program) as well as courses in the areas of computing programming and
database management. I enjoy writing short stories and have had a
number of my creations published.
If you have any questions about undertaking distance education courses
from Athabasca University or other areas that I am familiar with, please
do not hesitate to drop me a line.
Good luck in your studies and thanks for visiting my web page.
