History
The History program at Athabasca University offers a wide variety of courses covering a range of different historical periods. Broadly speaking, they fall into four main geographical areas: World History, European History, Asian History, and North American History. The Centre for Global & Social Analysis is responsible for the first three of these fields, and also offers a course in Canadian social history.
The links on the left-hand column will provide you with details of the two History programs within the B.A. (a Major within the four-year degree & a Concentration within the three-year degree). The courses listed are those offered by the Centre for Global and Social Analysis, but there is a further link to the full range of History courses offered by Athabasca University. There are also links to some very useful internal and external resources for the study of history.
