Student Code of Conduct
By tradition, a university is defined as a community of people who are dedicated to the pursuit of truth and the advancement of knowledge. Within this academic framework is the freedom to teach and learn and a concomitant obligation to respect these freedoms when they are exercised by others.
The three policies that govern the academic and nonacademic conduct of AU students are:
- Academic Misconduct Policy (Intellectual Honesty)
- Nonacademic Misconduct Policy
- Student Academic Appeals Policy
These policies represent a fair due process that is consistent with the mandate of a university.
