Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP)

AU is subject to the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy legislation, which governs the collection, access, use, and disclosure of general and personal information. Only the personal information necessary and directly related to an operating program or activity will be collected. It will be used only for the purpose for which it was collected and will be disclosed only as provided for by the legislation.

The personal information and records collected and maintained by AU as a result of a student's registration in a course, such as completed assignments and exams, electronic communications, and correspondence, are subject to University policies and the privacy and access provisions of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
