Welcome to Spanish 301: Second Year Spanish II, a three-credit, junior-level Spanish language course. Spanish 301 is the second half of studies at the second-year level. It offers a comprehensive review of material covered in Athabasca University's first-year and second-year courses, Spanish 200, Spanish 201, and Spanish 300. Spanish 301 also covers new concepts in grammar, and provides new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. Furthermore, in this course you will continue your look at Hispanic culture and arts, and encounter, for the first time, short, simple literary plays. As a student of Spanish 301 you will enhance your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
The Student Manual contains information about the course structure, the course materials, the evaluation and grading procedures, and other details you will need to know to complete the course successfully. Read it through carefully before you begin your studies. If you have any questions about the course itself, or how to proceed with your studies, please contact your tutor or the course coordinator.
The Study Guide and Assignment Manual provides the detailed instructions on using your course materials, the learning activities for each unit and the assignments for the course.
