Spanish 201

You are required to complete five (5) Tutor Marked Oral Exercises (TMOEs). Prepare them carefully. You will do the Tutor Marked Oral Exercises (TMOEs) over the telephone with your tutor. On the average, each TMOE will take about 10 minutes to do over the telephone. You are required to prepare answers for all the questions in each TMOE, but your tutor may not ask all of them. However, your tutor may ask you additional questions as you start to develop a certain proficiency and fluency in Spanish. You will not be asked questions that are beyond your expected level of comprehension in the course. As a rule, you should do only one TMOE at a time.

The format for the oral exercises will vary, but may include

• answering questions based on the Destinos textbook and on the Workbook / Study Guide II.
• listening to your tutor’s statements and changing the tense of verbs.
• conducting an interview or engaging in a dialogue based on course material.
• delivering a monologue on a selected topic.
• transforming sentences from one form to another.
• creating questions for an answer your tutor gives you.
