Students who approach their studies in a systematic and organized manner are more likely to complete the course successfully than are those who do not plan a course of action for themselves. You are advised, therefore, to follow a study schedule to assist you in budgeting your time and scheduling your progress.

Be sure to call your tutor if you have difficulty with the material, or if you are unable to adhere to the schedule as suggested. If you find yourself falling behind in your course work, contact your tutor immediately. He or she will be able to advise you as to what options are available to you.

If you are enrolled in the individualized-study delivery mode for this course, you have a six month contract period to complete the course. You may schedule your activities according to that time frame. It is important to keep the same sequence as outlined in this study schedule below. Should you require more time than is provided for in your course contract, please consult the current Athabasca University Calendar for information on obtaining an extension to your course contract.

Note: If you have not taken Spanish 200 at Athabasca, it is strongly recommended that you take a look at lessons 1-26 in the textbook and watch the corresponding Episodes of Destinos to familiarize yourself with the soap opera’s plot and its characters.

Weeks 1–4 Complete all the learning activities for Unit 1 as described in your Study Guide and Assignment Manual. This unit covers Lecciones and Episodes 27, 28, 29 and 30.
  Prepare for and call your tutor to complete TMOE 1 as described in your Study Guide and Assignment Manual.
  Complete and turn in TMWE 1 as described in your Study Guide and Assignment Manual.
Weeks 5–8 Complete the learning activities for Unit 2. This unit covers Lecciones and Episodes 31, 32, 33, and 34.
  Prepare for and call your tutor to complete TMOE 2.
  Complete and turn in TMWE 2.
Weeks 9–12 Complete the learning activities for Unit 3. This unit covers Lecciones and Episodes 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39.
  Prepare for and call your tutor to complete TMOE 3.
  Complete and turn in TMWE 3.
Weeks 13–16 Complete the learning activities for Unit 4. This unit covers Lecciones and Episodes 40, 41, 42, and 43.

  Prepare for your final Oral Examination.
Week 23 Take the final Oral Examination.
  Prepare for the final Written Examination by reviewing grammar and vocabulary.
Week 24 Take your final Written Examination.
Top
